The World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement led by Christian women of various traditions, who call us to come together on the first Friday in March to pray.

Over 120 countries take part in an annual day of celebration that unites people of all races, cultures and traditions in sharing God’s Word and worship.

The 2026 World Day of Prayer service was prepared by an ecumenical group of Christian women from Nigeria. In the service, these women focus on Jesus’ invitation in Matthew 11:28–30, calling us to come close to God and find rest in him. The stories of four Nigerian women inspire us to work towards a world without injustice, uncertainty, marginalization, religious persecution, poverty and despair. As we trust in God, the one who carries our burdens, we receive rest and have strength to share with the world.

A Church Rooted in Revival. Alive Today.

Born out of the Methodist revival of the 18th century, we continue to place God at the centre of our work.

We are a bilingual denomination serving communities across Wales. Our churches vary in size and setting, but share one purpose: to worship God, proclaim Christ, and care for people.
